Achondrite Diogenite (Ca-poor)
Fell on July 6, 1924 at 4:20 pm after four explosions
were heard followed by 27 stones falling. It is calcium-poor
and contains very little metal. Green hypersthene crystals are
broken up in a brecciated gray matrix. A total of 40.3 kg was
collected. Shown is a 30mm X 22mm X 5mm slice of 8.3 grams.
